Main Event Kicks Off at Noon — Six-Figure Prize and $10,000 Seat Up for Grabs

The first of two starting flights in the $1,000,000 Guarantee Chicago Poker Classic Main Event begins today at 12 p.m. In addition to the six-figure first prize, the tournament’s champion is set to walk with a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat added to the prize pool courtesy of the Horseshoe.

Players start the finale with 25,000 chips at the 50/100 level and levels 1-12 are 40 minutes in length. Registration remains open through Level 6 (until ~4:30 p.m.). Those expected to participate include 2004 WSOP Main Event Champion Greg Raymer and the defending CPC Main Event Champion Blake Bohn. Both players took to Twitter in the past few days:

The second starting flight, Day 1B, begins Saturday at 12 p.m. and matches the play of Day 1A. Those players who advance from Day 1A may play Day 1B in search of bagging a larger stack, but must check in with staff before doing so.

In addition to those players who satellited in, the property added 100 promotional seats. More information on the finale is available on the structure sheet outside The Venue.

Good luck, players!
