The first of two starting flights in the $1,500 Chicago Poker Classic Main Event drew 364 entries amassing $498,680 toward the $1,000,000 guarantee. With one more starting flight to go the property needs a strong turnout Saturday to hit its number.

Currently, the Day 1A clock reads 260 players remaining at the beginning of Level 8. Play is set to conclude following Level 16 and those still alive reconvene with Day 1B’s advancers for Day 2 Sunday at 12 p.m.

Remember, those who bag Day 1A are permitted to re-enter Day 1B assuming their largest stack on Day 2. Please check in with tournament staff prior to re-entering in this fashion.
