Event #1A, $360 NLH with $500,000 guarantee (three $2,000 CPC Main Event seats added)
The first of six starting flights in the opening event of the 2015 Chicago Poker Classic ($360 NLH) drew 375 players. Keeping in mind the tournament’s extended payout structure, the top 20 percent of these — 75 players — head home with a payday.
Here’s a look at Day 1’s prize structure:
- Players finishing within the top 20%-14% of the field earn $520
- 13.99%-10% earn $565
- 9.99%-7% earn $620
- 6.99%-5% earn $690
Per the tournament’s structure sheet, Flight A is set to wrap at 5 percent of the starting field — 19 players. At that time, those remaining bag and tag set to join Flight B, C, D, E and F advancing players for Day 2 Sunday at 2 p.m. CT.
Players are permitted unlimited re-entry through the registration period in each of the five remaining flights. Players who advance from any of the opening flights may play subsequent starting flights assuming their largest stack on Day 2.
Here’s a look at the start days still to come:
- Flight B – today at 5 p.m.
- Flight C – Friday at noon
- Flight D – Friday at 5 p.m.
- Flight E – Saturday at noon
- Flight F – Saturday at 5 p.m.
