$500 PLO Prize Pool, $18K First Prize and Three $2,000 CPC Main Event Seats Up for Grabs

Event #3 $500 PLO (three $2,000 CPC Main Event seats added)

Event 3 of the 2015 Chicago Poker Classic, tonight’s 5 p.m. $500 PLO tournament, drew 165 players generating a $69,795 prize pool. The top 18 finishers earn prize money with the 18th-place player pocketing $1,117. In addition to their share of the cash prize pool, the top three finishers earn a seat in the $2,000 CPC Main Event — an added incentive put up by the Horseshoe. The tournament’s eventual champion, meanwhile, complements his or her seat with the lion’s share of the prize pool, an $18,496 first prize.

Full payout structure:

Finish Prize
1st $18,496 + $2,000 seat
2nd $11,446 + $2,000 seat
3rd $7,580 + $2,000 seat
4th $5,409
5th $4,041
6th $3,225
7th $2,715
8th $2,408
9th $2,247
10th – 12th $1,647
13th – 15th $1,312
16th – 18th $1,117

The clock currently reads 45 players remaining with about 20 minutes left in the 600/1,2000 level (Level 9). Notable players still alive include Chicago pros Kevin Saul and Chris Karambinis as well as Ohio’s Sean Troha who, in October of last year, earned Casino Champion honors of the Horseshoe’s World Series of Poker Circuit event.

Day 1 of Event 3 is set to wrap at the 10-handed final table or at the conclusion of Level 18, whichever comes first. Day 2 resumes tomorrow at 2 p.m and full chip counts will be posted prior to the restart.
