Event #1 $360 NLH with $500,000 guarantee (three $2,000 CPC Main Event seats added)
Following just over five hours of play, the 115-player restart in Event 1, a $360 NLH tournament, is on dinner break with 29 players remaining. Edward Nassif II (pictured) leads as the only player over the 2,000,000 mark — he claims 2,040,000 chips. On the last hand before dinner, Nassif faced off against Michael Hahn who opened the pot from middle position at the 12,000/24,000 with a 3,000 ante level. Nassif defended his big blind and they saw a flop.
[9c]-[6d]-[3h] – Nassif checked and Hahn c-bet. Nassif called and they went to the turn.
[Kh] – Nassif checked again and Hahn kept the pressure on, betting 155,000. Nassif called and it was off to the river.
[Jc] – Nassif checked a third time and Hahn slowed down, checking back. Nassif tabled [Jh]-[9s] for two pair. Hahn mucked and Nassif took the pot cementing his spot as the chip leader.
