Event 2 Prize Pool, Top 18 Finishers Earn $2,000 CPC Main Event Seats Added by the Horseshoe

Event #2A/B $250 NLH (18 $2,000 CPC Main Event seats added)

Event 2 of the Chicago Poker Classic featured two starting flights beginning yesterday and today at noon CT. Yesterday’s opener drew 321 players while today’s closer topped out at 313 bringing the two-flight total to 634. In all, the $128,068 prize pool doles out a payday to each of the top 63 finishers. Payouts start at $423 and escalate steadily before topping out in the winner’s share of $28,813. In addition to the standard chuck of the cash prize pool, each of the top 18 finishers earn a $2,000 CPC Main Event seat courtesy of the Horseshoe.

Flight A, which concluded yesterday evening, played down to 12 percent of the starting field as 39 players advanced to Day 2. Today’s Flight B will also play to 12 percent, meaning if all goes well, 38 will move on bringing the Day 2 total to 77.

Those players still alive head back to The Venue tomorrow at 2 p.m. for Day 2. Complete, combined chip counts will be posted prior to the tournament’s restart.
