The 2,296-player starting field in Event 1 of the Chicago Poker Classic, a $360 NLH tournament, is down to 10 and consolidated to the unofficial final table. Not much has changed since dinner break as Edward Nassif II (pictured left) of Ames, Iowa retains his chip lead holding 5,750,000.

Nassif is well out in front of a finale that includes John Rumishek in second with 3,560,000 and Chicago’s Zal Irani (pictured right) in a tie for third with 3,000,000. For Irani, who won the last chance turbo event during the 2014 CPC, this marks the most recent in a long list of deep runs at the property that includes a runner-up finish and six-figure score in this same event in 2013 as well as a fifth-place finish and another six-figure score in the property’s 2012 World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event. He sits tied for third with Anthony Parille who also holds 3,000,000.
