Event #6 $400 OE (three $2,000 CPC Main Event seats added)
The sixth of 10 numbered events on the Chicago Poker Classic schedule, tonight’s 5 p.m. $400 OE tournament, drew 122 players. The total prize pool came to $37,516 and pays the top 16 finishers. A min-cash earns $600 while the tournament’s top three players complement their scores with a $2,000 Main Event seat added to the prize pool by the Horseshoe. The eventual champion, set to take his or her throne tomorrow, snags a $10,505 first prize.

There are currently about 28 minutes left in Level 7 with Day 1 slated to wrap following Level 14 or at the nine-handed final table, whichever comes first. Those players still in contention include World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Chris Tryba, Eric Crain, Sean Troha and Stephanie Chung.
Day 2 chip counts will be posted in the morning well before the tournament’s 2 p.m. restart.
