Event #9 $250 NLH with $200,000 guarantee (Lexus IS 350, $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat and $8,000 cash added)
Flights A and B of Event 9, the Chicago Poker Classic’s Win-a-Lexus-for-$250 tournament, drew a combined field of 627 players. Flight A advanced 27 while Flight B advanced 23 — none of whom were double qualifiers — bringing the current Day 2 field to 50. Flights C, D and E are still to come and staff expects their turnout to help surge the final player pool up toward the 1,500 mark.
Remember, the tournament awards a $2,000 double qualifier bonus for each Day 2 a player qualifies for after their first. Prior to the restart, the smallest of the double qualifers’ will be forfeited and the players who forfeit the first, second and third most chips earn a $10,000 WSOP seat as well as $5,000 and $3,000 cash prizes respectively.
