Day 1 of Event #4 is in the books. After 20 levels of play, they are down to 27 with all returning players in the money. The restart will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. The minimum payout will be $979, and the winner will receive $21,830 and a trophy. The top two will also get a bonus entry into the CPC Main Event.
Ryan Marin (pictured) emerged as the chip leader late in the day, and rapidly accumulated chips in the last two levels of the night. He finished Day 1 with a massive stack of 897,000 which puts him at almost 90 big blinds to start Day 2. The next biggest stack is 595,000, which happens to belong to WSOP bracelet winner, 3-time Circuit ring winner, and MSPT champion Nick Jivkov. HPT champion David Gutfreund is also in the top ten heading into Day 2.
