The first starting flight of Event #12 $250 NLH with Double Qualifier Bonus has come to a close. Of a total of 221 entries, 17 players remain. Jason Reno and Matt Carroll finished the night neck and neck for the lead with 228,000 and 227,500 chips, respectively. John Zawaski (220,500), Caryn Percifield (204,500), and Michael Chizhevsky (197,000) round out the top five.
Seven players were eliminated in the money tonight, receiving $550 for a min-cash. They were James Pappas, Joshua Shepherd, Arturo Canada, Yorell Groves, John Cooper, Guillermo Bonilla, and Steven Richardson.
The 17 players that bagged chips may enter other flights tomorrow to go for the $2,000 double qualifier bonus. For those who qualify more than once, the biggest stack will go forward to Day 2 and smaller stacks will be surrendered. The top three players who surrender the largest total sum of chips (from their smaller stacks) will also receive: 1st-WSOP Main Event Seat ($10,000 Value), 2nd-$6,000, 3rd-$4,000.
